Antlers

By RodneyHatfieldJr for Movies

One of the unfortunate casualties of the lockdown from Covid was Antlers. Having been pushed back 3 times before Disney-owned Searchlight Pictures decided to shelf it until this Halloween. We have been waiting since April 2020, and our wait will be over on October 29.

If you have forgotten about Antlers let me give you a refresher course. The Guillermo del Toro-produced, Scott Cooper-directed horror movie Antlers was co-written by “Channel Zero” creator Nick Antosca, based on a short story Antosca wrote titled The Quiet Boy. Keri Russell, Jesse Plemons, and Jeremy T. Thomas star in the film, alongside Graham Greene, Scott Haze, Rory Cochrane, and Amy Madigan.

Synopsis for the film: In a small isolated Oregon town, a middle-school teacher and her sheriff brother become embroiled with her enigmatic student, whose dark secrets lead to terrifying encounters with a legendary ancestral creature who came before them.
