TERRIFIER 2 Finishes Inital Edit

By RodneyHatfieldJr for Movies

For gorehounds, Terrifier 2 is marked on their calendar in October. But in the meantime, we have new and honestly exciting news from Terrifier universe. The first factoid is that the rough cut of the film clocks in at 2 hours and 21 minutes long. Geeze. When you consider the first movie was only 1 hour and 26 minutes, this is extra long. I bet we will get an uncut version when it goes to Bluray, which I hate. I want to see the WHOLE movie while sitting in the darkened theater. All it is a dirty way to make money, and no one is calling the studios out; so it is here to stay now. It seems every other movie has a theatric version and a new (insert whatever) final cut version. No, it is just a deceitful way to sell 2 movies.

The second, and most important factoid is that all the gore will be practical. I am hands down a practical fan. Especially since most movies now are 50% or more CGI, this is good news. If horror films don’t have practical effects, then it just doesn’t look right.

For those new to Art the Clown, here is the Synopsis:

After being resurrected by a sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to Miles County where he must hunt down and destroy a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night.

Terrifier 2 is written and directed by Damien Leone; the film stars Felissa Rose, David Howard Thornton, Casey Hartnett, and Lauren LaVera. I hope this holds you over for a few more months. As a bonus, here is the teaser trailer. Enjoy.
