The Fall of the House of Usher

The Fall of the House of Usher is one of the great stories of literary horror. Netflix is reteaming with Mike Flanagan for “The Fall of the House of Usher,” a new series based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe. The limited series from Intrepid Pictures is based on different works of Poe. 8 episodes have been ordered. Flanagan and Michael Fimognari will each direct four episodes.


Also announced is the cast, and it is filled to the rip. Frank Langella, Carla Gugino, Mary McDonnell, Carl Lumbly, Mark Hamill, Henry Thomas, T’Nia Miller, Kyleigh Curran, Samantha Sloyan, Rahul Kohli, Kate Siegel, Sauriyan Sapkota, Zach Gilford, Michael Trucco, Paola Núñez, Katie Parker, Malcolm Goodwin, Crystal Balint, Aya Furukawa, Daniel Jun, Matt Biedel, Ruth Codd, Igby Rigney, Annabeth Gish, and Robert Longstreet. 


This is the fifth series for Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy at Netflix under their Intrepid Pictures deal. If you are unfamiliar with Intrepid, these are the 4 previous projects. The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor; Midnight Mass, and the upcoming The Midnight Club. We should learn more in the coming weeks when shooting begins.
