What is on Netflix in October

I really like Netflix. It is filled to the brim with some of the best horror films, including zombie movies, ghosts, classic horror, recent hits, killers, and all of the creature features you could ever want for the month of October. What’s more, Netflix has them all separated into subgenres like B-Horror movies, cult horror, slasher movies, etc. Netflix has a ton of horror movies on their platform right now, so whether you’re looking for true scares or truly goofy horror with cheesy effects, you’ll likely find it streaming on Netflix.

So if you’re looking for a great place to stream horror movies online, here are just some of the notable horror films and TV series on Netflix for October 2018:



Hold the Dark (Sept. 28)

Summoned to a remote Alaskan village to search for wolves that took a local boy, a naturalist soon finds himself caught in a harrowing mystery.



Malevolent(October 5)

A brother-sister team who fake paranormal encounters for cash get more than they bargained for when a job at a haunted estate turns very, very real.



The Haunting of Hill House (October 12)

This horror drama series is a modern reimagining of Shirley Jackson’s classic 1959 novel.



Apostle (October 12)

In this thriller, a man travels to a remote island in search of his missing sister, who was kidnapped by a murderous religious cult.



Haunted (October 19)

Real people sit down with friends and family to share true stories of terrifying events that continue to haunt them.



Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (October 26)

The origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. This isn’t the TV show most of us remember.



Castlevania: Season 2 (October 26)

The year is 1475 in the eastern European village of Lugu. Lisa Tepes, doctor and wife of Dracula, is burned at the stake by the Inquisition for heresy. Insane with rage, Dracula unleashes an army of night creatures to exact revenge and wipe humanity from the face of the Earth.


Those seven will keep you on the edge of your seat. But maybe you want more. Never fear, I did the searching for you. Here is a list of all the horror movies Netflix has listed for the month of October. I compiled the list, but I will not endorse the movies on this list. There are some real stinkers on it. But to be fair, I put both good, bad, and awful on the list. Plus Netflix said they will put some other films that they are not listing now, but will pop up whenever they post them.
